### The story in one minute

I did not start as a "single-role" profile.
I started in design, moved deep into web development, and later took technical leadership responsibilities.
That journey changed how I approach projects: I no longer see strategy, UX, code, and delivery as separate phases.
I see them as one connected system.

Today, I am in a new chapter: freelancing while looking for the right long-term role, and building mononelo as my professional home base.
My work is still built around one principle:
make better decisions early, execute well, and keep improving through real feedback.

### What I do

This is the practical layer of that story. These are the capabilities I bring to teams and client projects, depending on what is actually needed.

#### Strategy
- Define direction, priorities, and scope based on real business constraints.
- Connect product decisions with execution feasibility.

#### Design
- Design clear, functional digital experiences.
- Build structures and interfaces ready for implementation.

#### Development
- Deliver modern, maintainable web solutions.
- Bridge design and engineering to ship faster with quality.

#### Applied AI
- Identify useful AI use cases, not hype-driven ones.
- Implement automations that improve team productivity and workflows.

### Selected work

#### Featured projects

Most conversations end with the same question: does this profile work only in theory, or also in real execution?
These examples answer that question.
Different sectors, different constraints, same operating logic: understand the context, reduce friction, and ship work that holds up in production.

- **AMLA**
A healthcare clinic needed a digital presence that felt both professional and approachable. I worked on design and development to create a site that communicates trust from the first scroll.
Before: fragmented perception and low clarity in service communication.
After: stronger first impression and clearer service understanding for new visitors.

Ongoing collaboration with the rugby club in web development and technology advisory.
  - Web development and maintenance of the club's digital presence

- **Farmatint**
In a product-focused beauty environment, the challenge was to support brand communication with a reliable digital layer. I worked on development and product support to keep execution aligned with business needs.

After: more reliable product communication and smoother site operations.
  URL: https://www.farmatint.es/

- **Vincle**
For a retail-tech company, the website had to reflect clarity, innovation, and credibility. I focused on implementation and delivery to translate strategy into a clean and maintainable result.
Before: positioning was not fully reflected in the web experience.
After: clearer positioning and a more scalable foundation for growth.
  URL: https://www.vincle.com

- **Ribé Salat**
A leading insurance group needed a strong, structured corporate platform. I worked on development and implementation to support a more solid and scalable web presence.
Before: less structured content and weaker digital consistency.
After: stronger corporate credibility and better structure across key pages.
  URL: https://ribesalat.com

- **Urban Driving Range**
The project needed a digital experience that captured both service information and brand personality. I handled design and development with a practical, user-first approach.
Before: brand personality and usability were not equally represented.
After: better balance between brand expression and user clarity.
  URL: https://www.urbandrivingrange.com/

- **WOW Food Experience**
For a hospitality concept, the objective was to communicate value quickly and clearly. I led the development phase to deliver a focused and functional website.

### Experience and brands

#### Experience snapshot
Over time, I moved from specialist roles into a broader multidisciplinary position.
That evolution helps me connect business intent, user needs, and technical decisions without losing momentum in delivery.

- **Current status:** Freelance, available for projects, and actively open to CTO, technical lead, or senior multidisciplinary roles.
- Experience across web design, frontend/full-stack development, and technical leadership.
- Core profile: multidisciplinary execution across strategy, design, and development.
- Team context: experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in multiple industries.

#### Commitment and long-term involvement
One of the strongest signals in my trajectory is commitment.
I do not approach teams as short-term transactions. I build long-term value and stay close to the process over time.

##### DUPLO Digital
**2020–2026** · CTO & Frontend Developer

At a multi-sector digital agency, managing a portfolio of 10+ active clients across simultaneous web projects. Responsible for budgeting, proposal validation, and coordination with an external backend partner for technically complex projects. Led the internal implementation of production protocols and QA processes to improve delivery quality and team efficiency.

##### Buzz Marketing Networks
**2011–2020** · Head of the frontend development department

Used a hybrid design-and-code background to bridge the gap between design and backend teams, resolving the friction that typically exists between both disciplines.

This long-term involvement reflects consistency, ownership, and trust built through results.

#### Earlier experience
Before these long-term stages, I built a broad foundation through roles in web development, digital design, and audiovisual production.
That early path gave me execution depth and adaptability across formats, tools, and team setups.

### Curated project: wewantwebs

wewantwebs is my curated inspiration project focused on web references.
I use it to collect and organize websites that stand out for clarity, visual direction, interaction decisions, and overall digital craft.

This project reflects an important part of how I work:
- Continuous visual and product benchmarking.
- Pattern recognition across different styles and industries.
- A practical eye for what is inspiring versus what is actually usable.

### Editorial project: Codygo

Codygo is my opinion-driven writing project about digital work.
It is where I think in public about frontend decisions, product criteria, practical technology choices, and the real trade-offs behind day-to-day execution.

The tone is direct, practical, and curiosity-led:
- Short reflections instead of long theoretical essays.
- Real questions from real project contexts.
- Technical perspective explained in plain language.

This editorial side reinforces how I work professionally:
clear thinking, practical judgment, and continuous learning.

#### Topics I write about
- Frontend craft and interface quality
- Decision-making in digital projects
- Applied AI from a practical perspective
- Web performance, usability, and delivery logic

#### Next step in this site
In a future iteration, this website can include a dedicated opinion/articles section connected to this same editorial approach.

### About

I am Pol Escarpenter, and this is my new professional chapter.
After years across design, development, and technical leadership — most recently as CTO at DUPLO Digital — I now work as a freelance multidisciplinary professional while looking for my next long-term role.
I connect business thinking with hands-on execution, and my focus is simple: solve meaningful digital problems with clear strategy, solid implementation, and practical AI integration.

I am open to conversations about full-time roles (CTO, technical lead, senior multidisciplinary profiles) and selected freelance projects where strategy, design, development, or applied AI can make a real difference.
